What it is01

What is SciatiEase?

SciatiEase is a dietary supplement in capsules, made by SciatiEase Labs and sold for sciatic nerve comfort. It is not a pain medicine and not a treatment for sciatica.

The bottle holds 120 capsules. The Supplement Facts panel sets one serving at 4 capsules, so a bottle lasts 30 days at the full serving or 60 days at 2 a day. The front reads "Supports Sciatic Nerve Health*", and the asterisk points to the standard FDA statement for supplements (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements).

Inside are 12 ingredients, which matches the "12 Research Backed" badge on the front. Eight have printed amounts. The four herbs share a 50 mg blend whose single amounts are hidden, which the rules allow as long as the blend lists them from most to least by weight (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)).

Sciatica itself is a symptom, not a disease: leg pain, tingling or numbness from pressure on the sciatic nerve or its roots, often from a disc (MedlinePlus, Sciatica). Most cases improve with time and activity, though about 20-30% of people still have trouble a year or two later (Koes et al., BMJ 2007). A capsule cannot move a disc, so the fair question is whether these nutrients can ease symptoms around that process.

Five white SciatiEase bottles lined up on a granite kitchen counter
A brand photo of five bottles. The bottle is white with a blue band and a red claim line.

Claims vs evidence02

Can SciatiEase cure sciatica or repair nerves?

No. The sales page blames "sciatic nerve starvation" and promises a fix, but no study has tested SciatiEase, and no supplement is proven to bring nerve cells back.

The article-style sales page leans on strong lines and gives no sources for them. We list each one in quotes, next to what the research says.

The bottle itself is more careful. Its claims are "support" claims with an asterisk, which is the wording the law allows for supplements without FDA review.

  1. Headline idea“sciatic nerve starvation”Not a medical term. B vitamin shortfalls can harm nerves, but most sciatica comes from a pressed or irritated nerve root, often from a disc. (MedlinePlus, Sciatica) (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12)
  2. Mechanism claimIt “awakens the damaged and dead cells”No human study shows any supplement bringing dead nerve cells back. Nobody has tested SciatiEase at all. (NIAMS, Living With Back Pain) (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance)
  3. StatisticA “70% failure rate” for usual treatmentsNo source is given. Most sciatica eases with time and activity, and guidelines start with exercise and self-care. (Koes et al., BMJ 2007) (NICE NG59, Low back pain and sciatica)
  4. Painkiller copyPainkillers do nothing “to stop your nerve cells from dying”Sciatica pain does not mean nerve cells are dying. Pain medicines have limits, but stopping them on your own is not safer. (Rasmussen-Barr et al., Cochrane 2016) (Mathieson et al., NEJM 2017 (PRECISE))
  5. Promise“standing, walking, and even running without any discomfort”A testimonial-style promise. No trial measured it for this product. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance)
  6. Expert quoteA PhD calling it “one of a kind”An endorsement is not evidence, and the FTC requires endorsements to be truthful and to disclose paid ties. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance) (FTC, Final rule on fake reviews)
  7. Urgency“sold out 11 times” and “50% OFF TODAY ONLY”Pressure lines we could not verify. Take your time, and check your medicines first. (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance)
  8. Bottle front“Supports Sciatic Nerve Health*” with the FDA asteriskStructure/function wording, allowed with the FDA statement. It is not a treatment claim. (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements)

Claims as printed on the sales page (SciatiEase sales page) and the bottle. Health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence, generally human trials of the same product (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).

Keep taking prescribed medicine

Do not stop, skip or cut a pain medicine, nerve medicine or blood thinner because you started a supplement. Talk to the doctor who prescribed it first. More detail on side effects and interactions.

How you take it03

How do you take SciatiEase capsules?

Take 4 capsules a day with food: 2 with breakfast and 2 with dinner. That is one serving on the Supplement Facts panel, and the most you should take in a day.

The sales page starts readers on 2 capsules with breakfast and adds 2 with dinner "for more" (SciatiEase sales page). The brand's order page also suggests going up to 4 in the morning and 4 at night if nothing changes in 14 days (SciatiEase order page). We do not repeat that advice: it is twice the serving on the panel, and it would double the vitamin B6 to 40 mg a day.

  1. 01

    Read the label first

One serving is 4 capsules. Check the side of your bottle for its warning text, and show the panel to your doctor or pharmacist.

  2. 02

    2 capsules with breakfast

Swallow them with water and food. The sales page starts the day this way; food tends to settle the stomach.

  3. 03

    2 capsules with dinner

That completes the 4-capsule serving. Keep any prescribed medicine on its usual schedule.

  4. 04

Check in at day 30 and day 90

Note how far you walk and how you sleep. The guarantee runs 180 days from purchase.

What one serving is

Four capsules make one serving, and the bottle holds 30 servings. Taken with meals, the capsules tend to sit better on the stomach, and alpha-lipoic acid in particular can cause nausea in some people (Linus Pauling Institute, Lipoic Acid). The full routine, with a 24-hour dial, sits on the how to take it page.

Ingredients04

What ingredients are in SciatiEase?

Twelve label lines: four B vitamins, the 750 mg AlphaPalm blend of R-ALA and PEA, acetyl-L-carnitine, benfotiamine and a 50 mg blend of four herbs.

PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) is the largest single amount at 500 mg per serving. It is a fat-based compound the body makes and uses to calm pain and inflammation signals. R-alpha lipoic acid adds 250 mg of an antioxidant studied in diabetic nerve damage.

The B vitamins come in their "active" coenzyme forms: B2 as riboflavin-5-phosphate, B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate, folate as 5-MTHF and B12 as methylcobalamin. With a gelatin capsule shell, the product is not vegetarian.

  1. 1Vitamin B2 (riboflavin-5-Phosphate)25 mg per 4 capsules · 1,923% DV
  2. 2Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate)20 mg per 4 capsules · 1,177% DV

From the Supplement Facts panel. Places 1-4 of the herbal blend are listed from most to least by weight (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)). The other ingredients (gelatin capsule, cellulose, vegetable stearate, silica) are left out of the count.

Ingredient profiles

The brand home page lists larger amounts for four ingredients (PEA 600 mg, R-ALA 300 mg, ALCAR 300 mg, benfotiamine 300 mg) (SciatiEase order page). The Supplement Facts panel prints the lower figures, and the panel is what we follow. See the supplement facts page.

The label05

What does the SciatiEase label actually say?

Eleven numbered spots on the Supplement Facts panel and seven on the bottle front. Tap a number to read that part in plain words.

The panel and the front tell two different stories. The panel is the legal record of what is in a serving. The front is marketing, held to looser rules, so "Maximum Strength" and "Research Backed" are phrases with no fixed meaning.

Tap a number to read that part of the panel.

  1. Serving size

4 capsules per serving and 30 servings: 120 capsules, a 30-day bottle at the full serving.

  2. Vitamin B2

25 mg as riboflavin-5-phosphate, 1,923% of the Daily Value. Adults need about 1.1-1.3 mg a day.

  3. Vitamin B6

20 mg as P5P, 1,177% DV. Under the 100 mg upper limit, but high B6 over time can harm nerves.

  4. Folate

500 mcg DFE as 5-MTHF, 120% DV: close to everyday needs.

  5. Vitamin B12

1 mg (1,000 mcg) as methylcobalamin, 41,667% DV. The body absorbs only a small share of a big dose.

  6. AlphaPalm Blend 750 mg

Unlike most blends, both amounts are printed: R-ALA 250 mg and PEA 500 mg.

  7. Acetyl-L-carnitine

250 mg. Neuropathy trials used 1,500-3,000 mg a day.

  8. Benfotiamine

200 mg of this fat-soluble vitamin B1. Trials used 300-600 mg a day.

  9. Proprietary Blend 50 mg

Feverfew, passionflower, Chinese skullcap and oat straw, all 4:1 extracts. Single amounts are hidden.

  10. Footnote

The double dagger means no Daily Value exists for that ingredient.

  11. Other ingredients

Gelatin capsule, microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearate, silica. Gelatin means not vegetarian.

And the front of the bottle?

The photo below is the bottle the brand ships. Its renders print "Sciatic Nerve Formula*" where this photo prints "Supports Sciatic Nerve Health*", so packaging may vary between batches.

Tap a number to read that part of the bottle.

  1. Maker band

'SciatiEase Labs' on the blue band. The brand site names SciatiEase Labs, LLC of Smyrna, Tennessee.

  2. Maximum Strength

There is no legal standard for this phrase. Several amounts sit below the doses used in studies.

  3. The name

    SciatiEase, with a registered-mark symbol.

  4. Claim line

'Supports Sciatic Nerve Health*': a structure/function claim. The asterisk points to the FDA statement.

  5. The 12 badge

'12 Research Backed Herbs, Vitamins, & Antioxidants'. The panel has 12 lines; the research is on single ingredients.

  6. Three support bullets

Supports Comfort, Nerve Health and a Healthy Inflammatory Response, each with an asterisk.

  7. Capsule count

'120 Capsules Dietary Supplement' on the side strip.

Dose vs research06

Are the SciatiEase doses as high as the studies?

Some are, some are not. PEA and B12 reach the low end of what trials used. Acetyl-L-carnitine and benfotiamine sit well below it.

A dose match does not prove a product works, but a big shortfall makes a benefit less likely. Acetyl-L-carnitine is the clearest gap: trials in diabetic nerve pain used 1,500-3,000 mg a day, and at 1,500 mg or less there was little difference from placebo (Rolim et al., Cochrane 2019). SciatiEase has 250 mg.

For R-alpha lipoic acid the comparison is less direct. Every human study used standard ALA, a half-and-half mix of the R and S forms, usually at 600 mg a day (Linus Pauling Institute, Lipoic Acid). That holds about 300 mg of the R form, close to the 250 mg here.

Red bars: what 2 or 4 capsules hold, from the Supplement Facts panel. Gold bars: daily amounts of that ingredient alone in studies; the light extension shows a range. The four herbs share 50 mg and have no printed amounts, so they are left out here. A dose that matches a study does not mean the product works: nobody has tested SciatiEase itself.

What the research says about the four ingredients the brand names first. No trial of SciatiEase exists.
IngredientEvidenceWhat it found

Bottle claims07

What do the SciatiEase support claims promise?

The bottle makes four support claims, each with the FDA asterisk. Here is each one next to what studies of the ingredients found.

A "support" claim describes how a nutrient affects the body's normal structure or function. It does not need FDA approval, but the seller must have evidence and must print the FDA disclaimer (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements).

Claims as printed on the bottle front (photo); the asterisks point to the FDA statement (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements).

Safety08

Who should check with a doctor before taking SciatiEase?

Anyone on a blood thinner, diabetes medicine or chemotherapy, anyone pregnant or nursing, and anyone with warning signs like groin numbness or new bladder trouble.

Most people in the PEA and ALA trials had mild side effects or none (Lang-Illievich et al., Nutrients 2023) (Linus Pauling Institute, Lipoic Acid). The bigger questions are interactions and the 20 mg of vitamin B6. The US upper limit is 100 mg a day, yet Australia's regulator has linked nerve symptoms to B6 even below 50 mg and now requires a warning on products above 10 mg a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6) (TGA, Vitamin B6 and neuropathy).

Six questions follow. A yes means a talk with your doctor or pharmacist first, or extra care at home.

1. Do you take a blood thinner, such as warfarin, apixaban (Eliquis), rivaroxaban or clopidogrel?
2. Are you pregnant or nursing, or not yet 18?
3. Do you take insulin, a sulfonylurea or another diabetes medicine?
4. Are you having chemotherapy now, or is it planned?
5. Do you have numbness in the groin or inner thighs, new bladder or bowel trouble, or leg weakness that is getting worse?
6. Do you take a sedative, sleep aid or opioid, or drink alcohol most evenings?
Answer all sixYour result shows here. It is a checklist, not medical advice.

Check a medicine

A short list built from NIH, MSKCC and trial sources, not a full interaction check. Bring the bottle or the Supplement Facts panel to your pharmacist. Keep taking prescribed medicine.

When to get help09

When is sciatica an emergency?

Numbness in the groin or inner thighs, new trouble with the bladder or bowels, or leg weakness that keeps getting worse need emergency care the same day.

Those signs can point to cauda equina syndrome, where the bundle of nerve roots at the base of the spine is squeezed. Surgery within 48 hours of the first symptoms gives a clear advantage for recovery (AANS, Cauda Equina Syndrome). No supplement belongs in that plan.

  1. Numb groin or inner thighsThe 'saddle' area you would sit on
  2. New bladder or bowel troubleCannot pass urine, or leaks you cannot control
  3. Leg weakness getting worseFoot drop, stumbling, or one leg giving way
  4. Pain after a fall or crashOr with fever, weight loss or a cancer history
  5. Pain in both legsEspecially with numbness spreading on both sides

Most casesMost sciatica improves over weeks with time, staying active and simple self-care. See your doctor if pain is severe, lasts more than a few weeks or keeps coming back.

Call 911Or go to the emergency room for saddle numbness, new bladder or bowel problems, or fast-worsening leg weakness. These can mean cauda equina syndrome, which needs care within hours.

Signs from AANS and NHS-style guidance (AANS, Cauda Equina Syndrome) and MedlinePlus (MedlinePlus, Sciatica). A supplement is never a reason to wait.

For everyday sciatica, guidelines put staying active and exercise first (NICE NG59, Low back pain and sciatica). Read sciatica basics and relief options.

Weighing it up10

What are the pros and cons of SciatiEase?

A clear, mostly printed label with a real PEA dose, against no product trial, low carnitine and a sales page that overstates the case.

Our view: SciatiEase is a reasonable thing to discuss with your doctor if you want to try PEA, and a poor reason to delay care or change a prescription.

Pros

  • Eight of 12 lines have printed amounts
  • PEA 500 mg, near the low end of trial doses
  • Active B vitamin forms and B12 at 1,000 mcg
  • 180-day money-back guarantee
  • From $49.99 a bottle on the 6-pack, free US shipping on 3 or 6

Cons

  • No trial of the product itself
  • ALCAR 250 mg, far below studied doses
  • 20 mg of B6 a day, above Australia's warning line
  • Gelatin capsules; feverfew is a daisy-family herb
  • Sales copy claims far more than the evidence shows

I travel for installs. Dog walk around the block. That's my test. Not a wheelchair pitch. I keep it by the hymnals. I take it before I walk the mall.

I teach, then I commute. I take pain tablets the clinic prescribed. Showed this bottle. They said keep theirs. I keep it in the tackle box. I take it before league night.

Badges and photos14

What do the badges and product photos tell you?

One brand seal and five front-of-bottle phrases, plus the brand's product photos, each with what it does and does not prove.

None of the material we could read names a factory audit or a GMP certificate. The brand site says the components are made in Tampa, Florida, and that orders ship from Florida (SciatiEase order page).

Matches the order page's 180-day guarantee. Return shipping is on the buyer.

Maximum Strength

Printed above the name. There is no standard for this phrase, and the amounts sit below most study doses.

12 Research Backed

Twelve lines are on the panel. Research exists for single ingredients, not for SciatiEase itself.

Supports Nerve Health*

A structure/function claim with the FDA asterisk. It is not a treatment claim.

Supports Healthy Inflammatory Response*

Another asterisked support claim. No trial of the product measured inflammation.

Made in Tampa, FL

The brand site's wording. No facility name, audit or GMP certificate is published.

One badge image comes from the brand; the rest are words printed on the bottle or the brand site. A badge or a phrase is a claim by the seller, not a certificate. FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements), and health claims in ads need real evidence (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).

SciatiEase is made by SciatiEase Labs. Sciatiease, which runs this site, is a licensed SciatiEase retailer, not the maker, and earns money from our order links. Lot code SE-26/SC-6243 is a seller reference, not lab proof. Read about us and testing and quality.

FAQ15

Short answers to SciatiEase questions

What is SciatiEase?

A capsule dietary supplement made by SciatiEase Labs and sold for sciatic nerve comfort. One serving is 4 capsules, a bottle holds 120, and each serving lists PEA 500 mg, R-alpha lipoic acid 250 mg, acetyl-L-carnitine 250 mg, benfotiamine 200 mg, four B vitamins and a 50 mg herb blend.

Does SciatiEase really work?

Nobody has tested SciatiEase itself. PEA, its largest ingredient, lowered pain scores in small trials, including one in sciatica (Lang-Illievich et al., Nutrients 2023) (Keppel Hesselink, J Pain Res 2015). Other doses, like acetyl-L-carnitine, sit far below what studies used (Rolim et al., Cochrane 2019). Treat it as an experiment, not a treatment.

Can I take SciatiEase with gabapentin?

No direct interaction with the label ingredients appears in the sources we checked, but passionflower and skullcap may add to drowsiness (NCCIH, Passionflower). Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, and do not stop or change gabapentin on your own.

Can you take SciatiEase with Eliquis?

Ask your prescriber first. Feverfew and Chinese skullcap may add to bleeding risk with blood thinners (MSKCC, Feverfew) (MSKCC, Scutellaria baicalensis), and the Eliquis label asks you to report every supplement (MedlinePlus, Apixaban). Keep taking Eliquis exactly as prescribed.

How many SciatiEase capsules a day?

Four, per the Supplement Facts panel: one serving. The sales page splits it into 2 with breakfast and 2 with dinner (SciatiEase sales page). Do not take more than 4 a day, even though the brand's order page suggests more if nothing changes in two weeks.

Is SciatiEase FDA approved?

No. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold, and the bottle's claims carry the standard FDA disclaimer (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements). FDA approval applies to drugs, not to supplements like this one.

How much does SciatiEase cost?

One bottle is $69.00 plus $6.95 shipping. Three bottles are $59.99 each and six are $49.99 each, with free US shipping on both. At 4 capsules a day that works out to about $2.30, $2.00 or $1.67 a day.

Who reviews the SciatiEase pages?

The SciatiEase label desk writes them. A medical reviewer has not been named yet. The box at the bottom of each page shows where those details will go once a review is on file.
